The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 364

"Death would be the end of it."

Seeing that Rachel wasn't joking, Isaac took a step back. "You... Fine, I'll wait then! And if you need anything, just come to me. As long as you ask, I'll make sure to handle it for you."

After saying that, he glanced at Rachel a few more times. The more he looked, the more he liked her. Not only was she beautiful, she also had a cold and proud demeanor that he was deeply attracted to. Only a woman like her could match him.

Under Isaac's gaze, Rachel felt her anger rising, but she couldn't let it show. She turned and headed back into the company.

Isaac waved. "I'll come see you again in a couple days."

He watched until Rachel disappeared from sight before getting back in the car.

Once inside, a bodyguard beside him remarked, "Mr. Wood, this isn't like you."

Isaac nodded. "If this were in the past, I would've made her kneel before me and beg for my favor. Today... I really went soft. I like this woman too much, and I can't bring myself to torment her."

The bodyguard looked shocked. Isaac had been with countless women, but he had never seen the former so serious about anyone.

After pondering for a moment, he asked, "Are you really willing to wait three years?"noveldrama

Isaac shook his head. "I can wait three days, but I don't have the patience to wait three years. I promised Rachel that I wouldn't go after Matthew, but that doesn't mean others can't.

"When the time comes, Rachel will come begging me, and she'll have no choice but to do whatever I want."

The bodyguard gave him a thumbs-up. "That's brilliant!"

Isaac shot him a look. "Stop flattering me. Notify Levi to go after Matthew and give him a good beating!"

...

Meanwhile, as Sara was driving, she felt a little excited that Matthew and Rachel had broken up. Was this her chance?

Seeing Matthew sitting silently in the back, she cautiously said, "Mr. Grant, if you're feeling down, I can join you for a drink." The car was very quiet; it had excellent soundproofing.

Sara waited for a long time but got no response from Matthew. She was somewhat disappointed.

Matthew had been hurt by a woman twice now, and his heart was heavy. He wasn't in the mood to talk, especially to a woman.

When the car stopped in front of Gembrooke Building, he got out robotically, then suddenly

remembered that he needed to go to the talent marketplace that day for recruitment. He turned around and got back into the car.

Sara was surprised. "Mr. Grant, did you decide to go for a drink?" Matthew raised his eyebrows. "What? You want to go drink?"

Sara shook her head, her bright eyes twinkling at him as she said sweetly, "I just thought you seemed unhappy and might need to relax to clear your

mind."

Matthew felt even more annoyed listening to her sweet tone. "Forget it. Go to the talent marketplace."

Lambda City's talent marketplace

was located in the southern

suburbs. After graduating from university, Matthew had once come here to look for work, but he hadn't been back since starting his own business.

However, he still knew the rules of the talent marketplace-one had to register before they could recruit. So, he found the office of the market manager.

The market manager, Oliver Fletcher, was a bespectacled man in his 30s.

When he saw Matthew come in, he put down his phone and asked, "You're here to recruit, right? Give me your ID so I can register you."

Matthew handed over his ID. "How much do I need to pay?"

Oliver looked at the ID and frowned. "The legal representative is Matthew Grant? Are you Matthew Grant?"

Seeing his frown, Matthew sensed something was off. "Yes, I am."

Oliver tossed the ID back at Matthew. "Get out! Get out of here!"
